The Challenge

Initiated by Dr. Mwenya Kasonde following a 2019 regional health conference and later expanded alongside Dr. Choolwe Jacobs and Flata Mwale, Women in Global Health (WGH) Zambia grew rapidly from 12 pioneering individuals into a powerful network of nearly 300 health professionals. Formally launched in 2022 with the endorsement of the Minister of Health, Honorable Sylvia Masebo, this locally registered non-profit champions critical issues like gender equity in health leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and female health worker protection. Their challenge was establishing a cohesive, authoritative brand footprint. They needed a strategic mix of web presence, print, and social media assets to manage their growing membership database, engage international policy stakeholders, and clearly amplify their policy advocacy.

Our Approach and Solution

To elevate WGH Zambia’s visibility and streamline their growth, we rolled out a holistic digital and physical brand design system. The goal was to build an inspiring, professional space that reflects their localized mission while seamlessly integrating into WGH's global movement guidelines.

Unified Brand and Identity Architecture

Visual System

We refined and implemented a polished, gender-inclusive visual identity that commands authority in high-level public health spaces. This unified framework respects the global organization's aesthetic while centering the unique public health context of Zambia.

Stakeholder Print Collateral and Social Toolkits

Print & Social Media Layouts

To support their advocacy workshops and government engagement events, we designed premium print materials, including strategic policy briefs, informational brochures, and event roll-up banners. Alongside physical media, we developed clean, repeatable social media graphic templates to help leadership broadcast their monthly engagement meetings, advocacy campaigns, and capacity-building webinars.

Community-Centric and Accessible Web Platform

Full-Stack Web Development

We built an optimized web platform engineered to act as WGH Zambia's central headquarters. The site features an interactive member directory to host their growing multidisciplinary network, clear resource hubs detailing their core pillars (Universal Health Coverage, SRHR, and pandemic response), and high-visibility event calendars to drive registration for local webinars and campaigns.

The Outcome

The final system equips WGH Zambia with an authoritative presence that gracefully bridges grassroots community building with ministerial-level advocacy. The highly scannable, mobile-responsive website empowers healthcare workers across Zambia to join the chapter easily, while the polished print and social collateral establish immediate executive credibility during policy dialogues and international healthcare collaborations.
